NC 9003 Mild Rust and Scale Remover
NC 9003 was developed as a mild rust and scale remover for ferrous alloys and a brightener for non-ferrous alloys such as Aluminum and Brass. NC 9003 is for use in soak applications only. NC 9003 is successfully being used in the following applications;
1. A major manufacturer of radiators is using NC 9003 to derust steel, brighten brass parts and condition metals prior to brazing. Rejects due to bad brazing have been dramatically reduced.
2. A major Diesel engine manufacturer has been using NC 9003 for over 6 months to derust various engine components ranging from small brackets to Cast Iron blocks. NC 9003 replaced Sulfuric Acid in this application
3. An automotive parts supplier is using NC 9003 to remove rust and heat treat scale from transmission rings prior to a Deburring operation.
4. A manufacturer of fasteners for the automotive and aerospace industries is presently using NC 9003 in two different applications. One to remove rust and one to descale after heat-treating.
NC 9007 Rust Remover and Pickling Agent
NC 9007 was developed as an alternative to mineral acids for the pickling of steel wire coils. NC 9007 will remove rust, heat treat and mill scale from various steel alloys. Non- corrosive, NC 9007 is milder on equipment and the surrounding infrastructures as well as being safer to use. NC 9007 does not emit strong acid fumes at elevated temperatures like that experienced with Sulfuric or Hydrochloric Acids. NC 9007 is recommended use in soak applications only.
NC 9009 Neutral pH Rust Remover
NC 9009 is a neutral pH rust remover that can be used at temperatures ranging from room temperature to 130oF depending upon concentration and the degree of rusting. NC 9009 can be used in both soak and spray applications. NC 9009 is presently being used in the following applications;
1. A major bearing manufacturer is using NC 9009 to remove rust and carbon “smut” from bearing races after roll forming in a spray washer.
2. A manufacturer of gears for the off road industry is using NC 9009 in multiple applications to derust gears ranging from 6” to 4’ in diameter.
